Close to the beach with good prices and Very fresh seafood. The fish sandwich was cod and I think he was swimming that morning. The shrimp taste different in this area in the Country but tasted great. We got it stream and peel and eat. My son got a shrimp salad sandwich was very good he said.

Maybe it was just a weird time of day we went in, but there were a lot of seedy characters at this bar. The bartender was very nice and made a damn good drink, but i just couldn't shake that uncomfortable "something bad is about to happen" feeling; so we left after 2 drinks.

Okay let's just talk about the grilled fish reuben. DELICIOUS. I almost always order this if it's on a menu and this one did not disappoint. All of our group was pleasantly surprised by this place. We came here based on yelp reviews and it was a wise choice! Thank you fellow yelpers! The drinks were strong and affordable! I had a tequila sunrise or 2 and I believe they were only $4-5 each?! Not bad at all! We had a shot (can't remember the name) and it did taste a little bit like cough syrup but it did the trick haha Service was good. We wanted to find an open karaoke bar within walking distance and our waitress recommended a place she said they go to often after work and is mostly locals. That place also turned out to be AWESOME! I would absolutely visit tiki hut on our next visit!

Went here for a quick dinner the other day and I was pleasantly surprised it looked nicer than the last time I was at that location (it used to be something else). We ordered a couple of margaritas, though sadly they were out of limes, but the strawberry margarita I had was quite good anyway. We then got an appetizer sampler which was really good (cheese sticks, chicken fingers, onion rings, and fries). We also got a quesadilla and decided to order it with pulled pork and that was actually a great choice, they used pulled BBQ pork, so it was a very different combination which we enjoyed. Service was good and prompt, and the food was enjoyable. I would go back.

Bartenders were super nice, I went on a night with Karaoke, and the food was yummy. I had wings and my tab was about 4 yuenglings and two were bought by pther guys. I sang about four songs and was told my singing was good. I also witnessed a promotion party and an engagement proposal. I was pretty lucky, the manager on duty was very concerned with customers getting home safely. I can't wait to go back if I am ever back in Daytona.

Its tough to find a non-chain spot to eat in Daytona. Luckily we found this place. The blackened mahi mahi was top notch. Good drink specials. Great spot.

This restaurant is a diamond in the ruff ! Bartender was great! She suggested the Mahi Mahi fish tacos and the Mahi Mahi sandwich. We would definitely recommend this Bar to everyone.

  • Martin S.

Ahh, a non-chain place to have a beer. Daytona Beach is full if chain restaurants and this is a lovely exception.

This place wasn't right on the beach but was very close to the beach. It was pretty small but had a good atmosphere and wasn't too loud (we arrived at about 6:15 on a Thursday). This place is super casual, to the point of drinking out of plastic cups and using plastic cutlery, which we didn't mind, it's ok for some occasions! As such it was very decently priced as well. $3.76 for Shock Top on draft! $8.95 for 3 shrimp tacos ($1.50 to add friends) $10.95 for David's black and Bleu burger which came with fries The only thing is that they seemed to be out of a couple things. The had swai fish instead of the cod that was on the menu. They had steak fries on the menu but were out of those as well. It was just bike week last week so the server mentioned they had been very busy. She was very sweet and attentive (two traits I love in a server, who doesn't?). The fries, although not crispy, were still good and seasoned perfectly.

Decent prices on mixed drinks and beer! Tried the appetizer sampler... DELICIUOS!! Definitely a must try if in the Daytona area!!

Good was very good. On our fl girls trip and the food here is awesome for veggie like me. Services is awesome too

The only reason they got a one star was because I had to put something down. I don't know where to start, the lousy service, the unheard of terrible ticket time, the level of professionalism and respect by the employees. Everything was horrible. Unsanitary, just out of control. For a 2-3 man kitchen they really suck. Their ticket time is over 45 mins per ticket. Just not a place I will ever return to.

Great local spot with good food! My GF had the mahi mahi tacos, get them blackened for a little extra kick. I had the buffalo wrap but you have to get it "Jessica's" way, that's with bleu cheese crumbles and bacon added, TDF!

    (4)
  • Bree R.

Had the grilled cod and it was awsome. Everything was fresh and drinks were perfect. Good prices also

Cute little dive bar with cheap drinks! But the real surprise was the food! I had the Cuban and will go back next time I'm in town. It was so good!

This was a great place near the beach. My bf and I went for lunch. It wasn't packed. There were just a few people and were able to choose where we sit. I had the blackened shrimp Caesar salad. This was one of the best salads I've had. Spicy but not too spicy and very flavorful. The bf had chicken quesadillas which he said was at the top of the list of best quesadillas. The drinks were decent. The waitress told us that the manager offered two free drinks which I thought was really nice. I would definitely go back.

After joes crab shack was an hour and a half wait time we found this place and the reviews were good. We sat ourselves and it took about 15 minutes before we got our drinks. Then at least a half hour for our salads that we had to eat with plastic forks. We both got blackened Mahi Mahi which was good but very spicy. Not complaining about the food but when it's a very spicy blackened the waitress should get us refills in a timely matter. We didn't get our refills until we asked for our check. We also asked for ketchup which she never brought, I had to get it off someone else's table! Service was horrible! Food was good but our waitress should find a new profession! And we should be able to use real silverware when the meal is around $15.

We come in town for a week every year and love to check out small little "mom and pop" style places. Unfortunately, we are usually disappointed. That was NOT the case here. Robin, the bartender, greeted us immediately and was very friendly to us and our daughter. I won't lie, our expectations were low and we were pleasantly surprised! I got the chicken Parmesan sandwich with no bun. It was delightfully crunchy on the outside and perfectly tender on the inside. Manfriend got the Island Tiki Chicken with rice. Again, perfectly cooked. The coconut shavings in the rice were an awesome little treat. Little one got chicken fingers. She was pleased, and she's picky. Even about chicken fingers. The icing on the cake?!? Their internet is wicked fast, and they separate their fish in a separate fryer. ((I have a SEVERE shellfish allergy. Eating in FL is risky for me.)) We will most definitely be back! Maybe tomorrow... ;-)

  • Van E.

The coconut shrimp I only could recognize as shrimp because of the tails. They were tasteless. My husband ordered a seafood wrap, but received the buffalo instead. 30 min wait for bad food and slow service.

  • Kenneth T.

Just ate here and had the blackened Mahi Mahi. It was fabulous! Would definitely recommend. My son had the Black and Blue burger with fries also very delicious. Started it all with nice chips and salsa plus a couple of drinks. Yummy!

We loved the Tiki Hut! Walked over from the hotel 3 days for lunch. Service and food are great, as is the laid-back atmosphere. We still miss Camille, our favorite bartender/server at the Tiki Hut! We enjoyed the fish tacos, chicken tacos, French dip sandwich, and burgers. Definitely a great choice for a cold drink or a bite to eat.

  • Mario C.

Stop by because of the yelp reviews. So we stop by to get a bite. Hamburger and buffalo chicken wrap. Food and staff are awesome. French fries have a seasoning that makes you want to lick the bowl. The staff is very friendly and very make you feel welcomed. owner was there that Sunday. great conversation!

I took my sister and cousin here for a quick lunch and it wasn't half bad. We went at a down time so there weren't really any patrons there. The food was pretty good but I was pretty disappointed in my Pina Colada. I usually don't go the frozen drink route and was expecting something a lot tastier. Our server was very attentive and super sweet to my 8 year old cousin. I'd come back again when I'm in the area.

  • Travis G.

App sampler was overdone. Ribeye sandwich was full of fat - could not even eat it, unfortunately. I think the waitress spilled ice or water on our table on three separate occasions and she never once brought us silverware or napkins. I'm not much to complain, but we (me and my sister) were pretty much the only people inside.

  • Tim M.

The Blackened Mahi sandwich was so thick and juicy!! We will be back for more and we will be bringing friends with us!!

Right off the beach from the pier. Service and food were great. Prices were reasonable. The Cuban sandwich and shrimp tacos were very good.

  • Morica C.

The wings here tasted as though they forgot to season them. They were horrible, however the drinks were grest. Please get alcoholic drinks only and go somewhere else to eat!

This is a little closer to four stars than five but because we went on a gloomy night and the waiting service was okay, everything else was right even the coke was perfect, their mahi mahi tacos came in a generous serving. This reminds me of a laid back munchies joint in the form of meals with a grand array of beer. This is great for people who are looking for a decent drink with a good bite.

  • Beth T.

Went here with a work colleague for dinner based on the good Yelp reviews, but weren't all that impressed. We both got the Teriyaki Mahi Mahi (special for the evening) and while the fish itself was quite good - well seasoned and cooked properly - the sides left something to be desired. The rice seemed undercooked and lacked flavor. Service was fast and friendly, though it was a bit awkward because I think we were the only people in the restaurant. Perhaps typical for a Wednesday night during the off season, but it just felt a little weird. We both left quite satisfied with the fish, but overall not a stellar impression of the experience.

Incredible service! Sat at the bar and Audi was amazing. She made me $5 Siren's Songs which were both potent and delicious. Had Mahi Mahi plate blackened and it was so much food for $9.

Excellent Mahi Mahi !! Tacos and ceaser salad. Nacho chips are bad tho. Beers cold

We came to the Tiki Hut for lunch after a long night out and they did not disappoint! We arrived just after they opened and were the first customers. The waitress got our drink orders quickly and made some menu suggestions. My friend and I split some wings and they were amazing. We got their specialty sweet/spicy sauce (can't remember the name) and it was amazing. I had a Cuban sandwich as well and it was perfect. The bread was crunchy and the pork and cheese inside was perfect. I didn't have one but my friends said the Bloody Marys were good too. Fun atmosphere, good food, decent prices. Would go back for sure.

Great food good prices. Cheap beer. You can't beat it. They bread their own checken fingers. If you like buffalo chicken get their wrap it was excellent. If I'm in the area again I will definitely eat here.

Awesome find! Clean, well lit and fun tiki theme. The Mahi tacos rocked and the service was great. 3 big Mahi tacos for $9. A must in Daytona.

Great little beachside bar/restaurant. We are here for lunch. It wasn't very busy and actually scared us by the amount of people. We usually will walk on by if a place isn't busy. We decided to stay and try it. The food was good. We will definitely stop here again.

Stopped at this place because it had 4 stars on yelp, but it should have 5. Super friendly staff and great food. Highly recommend the Cuban sandwich and paradise wings.

Found this place by going off of the Yelp reviews, and so glad. The food was amazing, I had the Mahi Mahi tacos with the macaroni salad, I had asked our server what she recommended and said this is what they were known for and they should be, it was super yummy. The atmosphere was chill and laid back, the servers and staff were all pleasant, friendly and helpful. We walked in to some great reggae classics and this place upholds the love. We were traveling with 4 kiddos under the age of 8 and were welcomed happily and accommodated, can't say this for most commercial big restaurants. The kid dishes are the same quality as all their other dishes too. My kiddo had the fish and chips and the fish was done so perfectly, all plates were empty. The owner stopped in to make sure all was good personally, that just topped off the visit. We left happy, so full and the kids were smiling, you couldn't ask for anything better .

No frills, No worries. Awesome food, awesome prices, awesome people. Amanda won't steer you wrong. As busy as it gets she will always make sure you have everything you need!! We will totally return again. Food was very fresh and yummy. Drink specials rocked!!!

Great grilled mahi mahi sandwich. Wanted another one the next night. Splurged on hot fries too and salad. Great service with fun beach music playing. Great service , casual and owner dropped by to make sure we had what we Needed.

Awesome place by the pier. Excellent prices and even better prices. Fish tacos - The sauce mixed with red onions makes it great. My wife had the fish sandwich and it was a huge portion for the price and tasted great. A lot of food for the money. Atmosphere is laid back. Come in your flip flops and tshirt!

Fuck yes. This place is awesome. Cheap drinks and solid menu items. Breaded Shrimp was my favorite. Sweet and tender

  • Ashley H.

I was very impressed. We checked it out because of the reviews, but we were skeptical when we saw how dead it was on a Friday night; however, we were all pleasantly surprised. The server was very friendly. I ordered a specialty shot as a drink, and it was delicious. I had the blackened mahi- very good! One person in our party had the mahi dinner. The zucchini was great. The French fries were surprisingly yummy. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. Prices were reasonable.

I had the Hawaiian burger with pineapple and ham. It tasted sweet and delicious and the hamburger pattie was top notch. My wife had the Mahi Mahi sandwich. Whoever is in the kitchen knows how to cook fish. Perfectly seared with oil, herbs and spices. Good drink prices also.

Found this little gem thanks to Yelp and wandering around in the pier area. So glad I did! Best seasoned fish I've had this entire week! Good beer prices good food prices good service! I ordered the seafood feast dinner which apparently isn't available until after 4 but they made it anyway :-). It was fantastic! Clams were fantastic! Chicken strip basket fantastic! Fed 3 adults with drinks for $37. Affordable and worth visiting!

just average services was very slow for a Thursday evening, my wife got the fish Reuben, she could not eat it and she loves all fish. I got a sandwich which I thought was good, the biggest problem is the slow service we watched 3 tables get up and leave for us what should have been maybe an hour took almost 2.

    (3)
  • C H.

This place is mediocre at best. As far as the fish tacos go...there are several restaurants in the area that have much better. It's an ok place if you are starving and cannot go on. Also, charging $0.50 for a glass of water in a plastic cup is outrageous especially since I purchased a meal!!! The service was below average. The waitress rarely checked on us. We will not be back.

    (2)
  • Michele M.

I wish we could rate the food and service separately... Food was great :) large portions, fresh and fast. The service is "island like" and over all slow.

    (4)
  • John L.

Terrible service. Took forever to get water, side salad. Food was ok Robin was not helpful at all. Charged my friend for both the apps just because she didn't want to ask. Made no sense. Don't go here.

  • Lydia B.

Such an awesome find! We had the fish tacos and fish and chips. My 6 year old picky eater said this was the best fish he ever had. My husband agreed! The fish tacos were great, a tad too much sauce for me but easily taken off. So good! The staff was really friendly and even have my son a Popsicle after lunch! What a great location!

    (4)
  • Simona C.

Food was okay but service was terrible. Took almost an hour to get out drinks and appetizers and she forgot some of our drinks. After that it took another 45 minutes for the waitress to figure out our checks after she repeatedly messed them up. Definitely the worst service I have ever had, not coming back.

GREAT PLACE TO DRINK ON MAINSTREET!! Great prices (local's gets discounts), Great Food (got to try the wings) and great atmosphere! They make a customer always feel welcome.

  • Ann G.

I, too, came here because of the Yelp reviews. We hesitated coming in because it was empty. A guy out front said the food was good. So we came in. Fish and chips tasted like Gorton's frozen fish. Seriously! Looked just like it! Cole slaw had no taste. Eating utensils are plastic. And best of all the guy who said the food was good had the audacity to come to our table to tell me he was the owner. Worst dinner in Daytona I've ever had.

  • Jeff W.

Our group of 14 came on a Friday evening. The restaurant was not crowded, but there was another large group that was seated before us. All of the food was very good. We had fish tacos, fish fry, burgers, wraps, mahi mahi and a salad. Everyone was very pleased. Unfortunately, the service was horrible. It took 75 + minutes to get our meal. Appetizers were forgotten. The side salad for the mahi mahi was forgotten and then brought without the dressing. The check came with the tip included.

  • Bob S.

Stopped in here for a late lunch. Very friendly waitress/bartender was handling the bar and all the tables, yet still kept up very well, and had a great demeanor. I ordered the blackened grouper (very tasty), my wife ordered the Tiki Chicken (also very good), and our daughter the chicken tenders (fried perfectly, with a nice texture on the breading). All of us enjoyed our meals very much, and if we are back down to that area of the beach, we will likely stop in for lunch again.

  • Sarah B.

This is a place the drink, not eat. We went here because the reviews looked so awesome. The service was not good. Our waitress brought me a warm beer because it took her so long to pick up our drinks after the bartender got our drink order out. The food was not anything special. I got the fish tacos and they were super bland and not that great. The bartender on the other hand was awesome! She made my friends mixed drink strong and good. She was working hard behind the bar and never missed a best. I would not go there again for food, but I would go back to sit at the bar and drink.
